After living on the North side a few years during high school, Homer Glen is the first suburb on the south side I chose to begin my family. I loved Homer Glen for the same reason many people still do today. It is a small town feel within a close proximity to many neighborhood communities with stores and restaurants. When I lived in Homer Glen it was the Purple Onion (no longer there) or a short trip to Orland Park. Today Homer Glen has a few of their own stores and restaurants while still maintaining that small town image. Oh yes and great schools too!
